Dr. Kevin McLaughlin

In March 2000, Dr. Kevin McLaughlin moved with his family to Carrollton and joined West Georgia Urology. He has been in the full-time practice of Urology since then. His practice involves the management of the entire spectrum of genito-urinary health care, including both male and female, adult and pediatric patients. His particular interests involve men’s health, the surgical treatment and medical prevention of kidney stone disease, and minimally invasive office and surgical procedures.
Born and raised in Joliet, Illinois, Dr. McLaughlin graduated from Dartmouth College in 1981. He received his medical degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago. His surgical internship, Urologic surgery residency and Chief Residency were performed at the Emory University Affiliated Hospitals (Emory University, Atlanta Veterans Administration Medical Center, Grady Memorial, Crawford Long, Scottish Rite and Egleston Memorial Hospitals). He completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Urology at the James C. Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is certified by the American Board of Urology.
After completing his training Dr. McLaughlin joined the faculty of the Loma Linda University College of Medicine in Loma Linda, California as an Assistant Professor in Urology. The next step in his career brought him to the Augusta, Georgia area where he was a part-time member of the faculty at the Medical College of Georgia before moving to Carrollton. He is an active member of the Tanner Medical Staff with admitting and surgical privileges at all three of the Tanner Health Systems hospitals (Carrollton, Villa Rica and Higgins Hospital in Bremen). He has served as the Chairman of the Surgical Clinical Department Review Committee, Chairman of the Department of Surgery and Vice Chief of the medical staff. Although not a native, Dr. McLaughlin and his family feel they have “moved home” in Carrollton. They appreciate the friendliness and warmth of their community and look forward to many happy years here.
Dr. James Cullison

Dr. James Cullison is a Board Certified Urologist practicing at West Georgia Urology. He graduated from Washington University in St Louis with a Bachelor of Arts degree and completed medical school at the University of Missouri, Columbia. He then completed a Urology Surgical Subspecialty residency at the Medical College of Georgia. After his training, he started a solo practice in rural Ohio managing all aspect of Urology ranging from BPH, Stones, Urological Cancers, and female pelvic disorders.
He came to the West Georgia area in 2004, and brought with him many new treatment options and surgeries. Some of these include prostate photovaporization (Greenlight), bladder neuromodulation (Interstim), laparoscopic total and partial nephrectomies, Cryoablation of kidney tumors, and urethral bulking injections. He also initiated the large volume of mesh urethral slings at all three of Tanner’s hospitals. In the past he has served as a surgical proctor to other surgeons for Interstim, Greenlight laser, and urethral slings.
More recently, Dr. Cullison has focused more on female pelvic medicine. He earned an additional board certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) having carried-out a large volume of complex female pelvic surgeries. He has many years experience with diseases and surgeries such as Bladder Botox Treatment, Mid-urethral mesh slings, Interstim Impants for bladder and bowel disorders, Interstitial Cystitis, Transvaginal mesh complications, Overactive Bladder, and Stress Urinary incontinence.
Dr. Chris Powell

In August 2015, Dr. Chris Powell moved with his family to Carrollton and joined West Georgia Urology. A long time Georgia native, Dr. Powell is happy to return home. He received his undergraduate degree from Valdosta State University before obtaining his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 2010. His surgical internship, urologic surgery residency and chief residency were completed at the University of Kansas Medical Center and affiliated hospitals including Children’s Mercy Hospital and the Kansas City Veterans Administration Medical Center.
While in residency Dr. Powell was recognized for several accomplishments including; Outstanding Case Presentation Award at the Society of Fetal Urology Annual Meeting, 1st place in the South Central Section of the American Urological Association Resident Essay Contest, 1st place in the Department of Urology Resident Research Contest, and an Excellence in Residency Award nomination by mentored medical students. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society as well as the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
While he enjoys all facets of urology practice his primary focus will be the treatment of urologic cancers (kidney, adrenal, bladder, prostate, penile, testicle, and urachal malignancies) and robotic surgery. While in training he participated in over 100 robotic cases and is happy to bring this treatment option to Carrollton.
Dr. Mitchell K. Rauch

Dr. Rauch is board-certified in urology. He earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. He completed his internship at The University of Miami, in Miami, Florida, where he also completed residencies in surgery and urology. He completed a fellowship in urologic oncology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in Los Angeles, and served as a clinical instructor in the UCLA department of oncology. Dr. Rauch also served as chief of surgery for Boca Raton Community Hospital in Boca Raton, Florida, and as a clinical associate professor at the Florida Atlantic University Miller School of Medicine in Boca Raton. He was named a Castle Connolly Medical “Top Doctor” for 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Dr. Rauch is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Rauch brings a personalized approach to urologic care, employing his years of experience and specialized expertise to treat a variety of urological conditions with compassionate care to help improve the health and wellness of his patients.
Lindsay Capps,
FNP, BC

Lindsay Capps graduated from the University of Alabama in 2008 with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She then attended South University where she earned a Masters Degree of Science in Nursing in 2016.
Lindsay’s previous experience is in Stroke ICU, ICU, Gastroenterology, and Urology. She is Board Certified through American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as Family Nurse Practitioner.
Lindsay Capps is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Stroke Certified. She is a member of and the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau.
Mrs. Capps is a native of Douglasville, GA and is married with two children. When not working she enjoys Alabama Football, traveling to the beach and lake.
Jessica Walbridge,

Jessica Walbridge graduated from Miami Dade College in 2016 with an Associates Degree in Nursing and then obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University in 2018. She then attended South University where she earned a Master's Degree of Science in Nursing in 2020. Jessica's previous experience has been in Medical-Surgical, Psychiatric, and has been in the field of Urology for seven years.. She is Board Certified through American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as Family Nurse Practitioner. Jessica is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing Mrs. Walbridge is a native of Hollywood, Florida and moved to Carrollton, GA in 2018 with her husband and twin boys. They also recently had another precious baby boy added to their family. While not working she loves to travel and spend time with her family especially watching her boys out on the baseball field
